Landscape Design Questions

Frequently Asked Landscape Design Questions

Q: Why Capital Landscape?

A: Capital Landscape has been in business for over 30 years. We have phenomenal reviews, a dedication to customer service and satisfaction, and a commitment to seeing your project through to completion and exceeding your expectations. We’ve developed a reputation as the premier provider of landscape design and landscaping services, and we’re confident in what we do.

Q: What Areas Do You Service?

A: Our company is based in Roseville, California. But most of our customers are in the surrounding Sacramento Service Area. In July of 2014 alone, we worked with clients in El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay, Folsom, Sacramento, Loomis, Rocklin, Auburn, Woodland, Lincoln, Cameron Park, Citrus Heights, Mather, Carmichael, and Elk Grove – and that is only in a single month. Anywhere within driving distance of the Greater Sacramento/Roseville area is within our borders, and we’re happy to come down and create an estimate.

Q: Why a Landscape Architect?

A: At Capital Landscape, we are constantly promoting our board certified landscape architects. That is because the truth is that anyone can claim to be a landscaper, but only a few have had training in landscape design and management. We work with several certified landscape architects with degrees from locations such as UC Davis in landscape architectural design. When you’re looking for a brand new landscape design, a landscape architect is your best choice.

Q: Do You Offer Mowing and Watering Services?

A: At the moment, we do not currently offer any lawn maintenance services. This is something we’re looking into. We can, however, give you tips on how to maintain your new landscape and may be able to provide you with some recommendations for lawn maintenance.

Q: What is Xeriscaping and Why is it Being Promoted?

A: California is going through a serious drought, water bills are higher than ever, and more and more people are trying to create more environmentally friendly landscapes. Xeriscaping and drought resistant landscape design is a methodology to landscape design that uses significantly less water. This can be completed in a lot of ways – less turf, more hearty plants, native plants, hardscape, artificial turf, and much more – but the end result is a beautiful landscape that uses much less water and requires less upkeep. If you are asking yourself “Why to go Drought Resistant” there are many reasons and benefits.

Q: Do You Do “Just” Landscape Design?

A: Yes we do. If all you need is a landscape design for now, because you’re not sure if you have the financing or are ready to turn it into a reality, give us a call and you can work with a landscape designer to get a design that works for your needs. We’d love to be the company that turns your dream into a reality, but we also know that sometimes what you’re looking for is a design first to help you consider next steps.

Q: I Want a Design But Am Saving Money. Anything I Can Do?

A: Absolutely. We have financing options available, including one year same-as-cash financing. Contact us today, let us know your financial situation, and we’ll figure out a plan that’s right for you.

Q: Do You Do Landscape Design in the Winter?

A: Yes! In fact, winter is one of the best times to get landscape design work because it’s a slower period for most landscape contractors. The only note about winter is that some plants may need to be installed later, since not all plants are available or in bloom during winter months. Nevertheless, you can have the vast majority of your landscape completed by winter, and then get the finishing touches done later once it warms up.

Q: What Happens if I Am Dissatisfied With My Landscape Design?

A: That would be awful! At Capital Landscape, we ask that you let us know. We are committed to customer satisfaction, and will make any reasonable effort to fix problems and ensure your satisfaction on your projects. We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured contractor and we make it our mission to do whatever we can to improve project satisfaction.

Q: Do You Really Do Putting Greens and Waterfalls?

A: Of course. Our goal is to create for you the landscape of your dreams. We’re the Greater Sacramento leading landscaper for a reason. If you’re looking for unique landscapes designed to match your vision, all you need do is contact us.

Q: Do You Provide Commercial Landscaping?

A: At the moment, we currently do not provide commercial landscaping services. The reason for this is that we have a focus and commitment to residential landscaping, and while we would love to work on commercial properties, it would take away from the time and care that we want to give all of our residential clients.

Q: Can I Contact You For a Landscape Consultation?

A: Absolutely. Not only that, but you can book an appointment online using the form on the left! You can also call us at (916)783-5080 during business hours or leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible to figure out the best time to meet and discuss your landscape design.
